Fellow Sled-heads: 

We at the Homer Race Commission wish to extend our holiday wishes to you and yours.

We are praying for snow and lots of it!  (Along with safety for everyone). 

Our Race Schedule will be out soon.   Our initial plan is to have 3 races in the summer at our wonderful facility in Homer, probably June, July and Aug.  We are also going to fulfill a loyal sponsor's wish to have one of the races on a Saturday; this will tentatively be the June race (the rest on Sundays).  The 4^th weekend of the month is the setting for each of the summer races.

We have been asked to put on a race at TK Wendls' sport facility just east of Urbana, on Rt. 130 (University exit off I-74).  We are presently planning the details of this endeavor and look forward to increasing the sport's fan base, as the event will be well publicized! 

We have had some interest in motorcycles participating in our drag events.  We have considered this and may add this class after snowmobiles/4-wheelers are done for the day (this would be a trial run at the TK Wendls' event). 

We have run a disc over the Homer 500 track and reseeded this fall.  The grass looks like it took well (weather cooperated with us) and should be better than ever.  The operation of the race continues to improve and we are currently running very smoothly (yes, even the lights!).
